Visiting Us

Where is Car Systems Installation located?

Our shop is at 582 Rivermede Rd Unit 9, Concord, ON L4K 2H5, just off Highway 7 and 407 in Vaughan. We serve drivers from Toronto, North York, Markham, Richmond Hill, Brampton, Mississauga, and the rest of the GTA. The waiting area has free Wi-Fi, coffee, and a TV.

What are your hours?

We are open Monday to Thursday from 10 AM to 6 PM and Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM. We are closed Saturday and Sunday. Call ahead at (416) 901-5812 to book your install so your vehicle goes straight into the bay.

Do I need an appointment?

Booking ahead is the smart move, since install bays fill up fast in remote starter and theft-prevention season. Call (416) 901-5812 or send a note through our contact page, tell us your vehicle's make, model, and year, and we will confirm a time and how long the job takes.

Remote Starters

Will a remote starter damage my car or affect the factory warranty?

Not when it is installed properly. We use vehicle-specific T-harnesses and bypass modules that plug into the factory wiring instead of cutting it, so the installation is clean and fully reversible. Your dealership can still service the car normally, and the starter behaves like a factory feature.

Do remote starters work with manual transmissions?

Yes. Manual transmission starters use a reservation mode: you set the car in neutral with the parking brake on before leaving it, and the system confirms this before any remote start. It refuses to start the engine otherwise, so the car can never start in gear.

Can I start my car from my phone?

Yes. Smartphone start systems connect your starter to an app, so range is no longer a limit: if your phone has signal, you can start, lock, and locate your car from anywhere. Great for condo garages and office towers where a regular remote cannot reach.

Dash Cams & Cameras

Should my dash cam be hardwired or plugged into the 12V socket?

Hardwiring is the cleaner install. It hides the cable, keeps your power socket free, and allows parking mode so the camera can guard the car while it is off. We hardwire through a fuse tap with a voltage cutoff, so the factory wiring stays intact and your battery never drains.

Can a backup camera work with the screen already in my dash?

In many vehicles, yes. We use OEM-fit interface modules that feed the camera image straight to your factory radio display the moment you shift into reverse. If your car has no screen, a mirror with a built-in display or a new multimedia head unit does the job.

Anti-Theft & Security

What is the IGLA anti-theft system?

IGLA is a digital immobilizer that keeps your engine from running until you enter a PIN code on your car's own buttons. There is no fob to clone and nothing visible to cut, so relay attacks and key programmers get nowhere. It is our top recommendation for high-theft models.

Will an anti-theft system lower my insurance?

It can. Some insurers ask for an approved tracking or immobilizer system before covering frequently stolen models, and others offer discounts for them. Check with your insurer first, then bring us the requirement and we will install a system that satisfies it and protects the car for real.

GPS & Navigation

How does a GPS navigation system work?

A GPS unit listens to signals from a network of satellites, works out your position from them, and draws it on a map in real time. Civilian receivers only receive, they never transmit back. That is why a basic GPS works anywhere, even with no cell coverage.

Do you install GPS navigation systems?

Yes. We install GPS navigation for any vehicle, whether it is a dedicated unit or part of a new multimedia head unit with CarPlay and Android Auto. Installation is done in-house at our Concord shop, with clean wiring and a full test before pickup.

Do GPS devices require subscriptions?

No. A standard GPS navigation unit costs you the device and nothing more. Satellite access is free, so there are no monthly fees. Some connected extras like live traffic can carry a subscription, but basic navigation never does.

Do I really need GPS navigation if my phone has maps?

A dedicated unit keeps navigation on screen full-time without draining your phone or dropping out with your signal. If you would rather use the phone you love, we can add CarPlay or Android Auto to your dash instead, and your maps show up on a proper screen.

Audio & Multimedia

Can I keep my factory radio and still get CarPlay or Android Auto?

In many vehicles, yes. Integration modules add CarPlay and Android Auto to the factory screen while keeping your original radio, steering wheel controls, and backup camera. Where that is not available, a new head unit brings the same features with a better screen.
