Extended “long-range” options are available with the BMW remote starter. Choose from 1-way long range (2000 feet – 1 mile) or 2-way long range (3000 feet – 1 mile). Some vehicles will need a login account, which is activated by a registered technician.

The BMW remote starter is activated by pressing the lock button 3 times – you press two times, and then hold for 2 seconds until the headlights are flashing. When started remotely, your engine remains running for 20 minutes prior to automatic shut down.
For remote starting to be activated, your doors, windows, and sunroof must be closed. As well, your vehicle must be in park mode (electronic parking must be engaged). Your vehicle must be locked up, without any fault codes, and without the low fuel light.
